Ireland (.ie): Irish domain names are available directly under .ie, but only to registered companies. Individuals must register under .name.ie. You do not need a local presence in Ireland, but you do need to prove you have a trading link with Ireland. This can be an invoice to an Irish company/indvidual, a high quality brochure or in certain circumstances, information on a website. If the domain name is for an Irish company, a company number will provide adequate proof. The name servers used with a .ie domain name need to be set up in advance.
